Antonov An-10A Aeroflot USSR “Northern Reindeer” CCCP-11174 1:200 Scale Model

The model accurately represents aircraft CCCP-11174, a remarkable An-10A known among collectors as the “Northern Reindeer”. HISTORY OF THE AIRCRAFT

The Antonov An-10 was a four-engine turboprop passenger aircraft developed under the direction of Oleg Antonov. The first prototype, named “Ukraina”, made its maiden flight on 7 March 1957. The aircraft was designed for medium-range passenger services and became an important part of the Aeroflot fleet during the 1960s.

The original Antonov An-10A CCCP-11174 was built at the Voronezh Aircraft Production Plant in October 1959. Its factory number was 9401701, and it entered Aeroflot service on 27 January 1960.

The aircraft initially operated with the Ukrainian Civil Aviation Administration and the Kharkiv aviation unit. In March 1968, it was transferred to the Komi Civil Aviation Administration and operated from Syktyvkar.

After the end of its airline service in 1972, CCCP-11174 was transported to Kyiv and displayed as an aviation exhibit at the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy. The aircraft remained there for many years and was eventually dismantled in the early 1990s.

This scale model preserves the appearance of a distinctive aircraft from the history of Antonov and Aeroflot passenger aviation.
